Legally and officially change your name by Deed Poll today
Apply NowLegally revert to a former name
Whenever you change your legal name whether it be to a new name or reverting to an old name, you must provide documentary evidence of the change.
For example, when a woman wishes to revert to the name she had before marriage (her maiden name), she must provide her decree absolute (divorce) certificate to prove that she is no longer using her married name.
The same rule applies to those that have changed their name by Deed Poll in the past and would now like to revert to a former name. Therefore, in order to make the change official, you will need to apply for another Deed Poll.
If you are unsure as to whether or not you will need to apply for a Deed Poll in order to legally revert to a former name, please give us a call on 020 3397 0441 or use our live chat service and we will be able to tell you.
